The children in Digital Studies are having lots of fun using the 2simple software.

In the first week they used 2DIY and they have also enjoyed using Purple Mash.

Cookery Club (Aut1Wk3)

This week we are making yummy, sticky Flapjack, here is the recipe;

SYRUP FLAPJACKS

Makes 10

Ingredients
100g (4oz) margarine
1 tablespoon golden syrup
100g (4oz) sugar
50g (2oz) oats
50g (2oz) self raising flour
75g (3oz) crushed cornflakes.
Method
1. Heat oven to 190 c, 375 f, Gas Mark 5.

2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
3. Melt the margarine and syrup together gently (on a low heat) in a saucepan.
4. Mix the sugar, oats, flour and cornflakes in a bowl.
5. Pour the margarine mixture, over the dry ingredients and mix well.
6. Spread evenly onto tray and press down firmly to keep the layer thin.
7. Bake in oven for 15-20 mins until firm.
8. Let it set for 5 minutes, then cut into squares while still warm, then leave to cool.

Animal club Autumn week 2

This week an animal club firm favourite came to visit........George the dog. Mr Kendrick brought the Newfoundland in to school and told us all about his breed.

Did you know that Newfoundlands have webbed feet to help them swim, just like ducks!!!

George is due to have an operation soon to help mend his poorly leg.  Good luck George we will all be thinking of you and are looking forward to seeing you soon.

Animal club Autumn week 1

Check out our first animal visitor.  His name is George and he is my son's hamster.  He is just over a year old and it's the first time that he has been on a visit outside of our house.  We looked at his cage and his food. Some people were quite keen to try his yoghurt drops which smelt like white chocolate but they managed to resist !

He was very well behaved when we passed him round in his ball with no bids for freedom.
