Here they come the Ponies from Hope Pastures led by Amy and Leslie.
On our third week of horse club we had the most exciting visit. Two poines from Hope Pastures Sanctuary came to visit. We were able to meet each of the ponies, have a look (and smell) of some of the food that the ponies eat and then groom the ponies. Have a look at our pictures to see what fun we had.

The black pony is Timmy and the chestnut pony is Sago. |
|
Everyone enjoyed meeting the ponies. We were told to move slowly and calmly and talk to the ponies as we stroked them.
Amy shows us the brushes that are used to groom the ponies and tells us what to do with each one.

Timmy was so patient as everyone helped to make him look gorgeous! |
|
Great to see our oldest pupils helping some of our youngest. Good team work guys. |
|
Remember not to stand directly behind a pony as this is a great position to get kicked.....luckily Timmy is so well behaved! |
|
Sago didn't miss out on the grooming. This tail looks like it would take ages to brush!! |
As our pictures show the ponies were fantastically behaved and Amy wrote from Hope Pastures to say that the she thought the children were immaculately behaved as well, so well done to all my horse clubbers, how did it feel to be a pony owner for the afternoon?????
