A NEW SEMESTER BEGINS

A new group of children started Animation Club this term. So far they have used Pivot animator. CLICK here for a link to the free download (remember to ask permission before downloading anything onto your computer)

In the first two weeks the children made a background using Paint for their pivot animation.

This week the children were given a webcam and a small ball of plasticine. Their challenge was to be as creative as possible!!!

 



Animation club went to the National Media Museum on the 6th July and had a fantastic time!

Friday 11th March

We used modelling clay and had a look at some animation from the T.V. We watched a movie short with Morph. Google Morph and see if you can find other animations.

Friday 4th March

We continued to use modelling clay. To give us some inspiration we looked at an animation called Mia Mao. It used to be on a children's channel.

Friday 4th February

We used the web cams today and made mini movies using the small world toys from Year 1. The children started to realise how much patience is needed to make a movie!!

Friday 21st January

We made backgrounds using Paint and loaded them onto the Pivot screen. It looked very effective.

Friday 14th January

Today we continued to use Pivot. We explored some of the features such as adding more figures, changing the size, editing existing animations and adding a background.

Remember this is how to add a background.

Create a background using Windows PAINT

Save as a BMP file on your desktop

In Pivot click on File and Load Background

You should see you background.

Have a go and post how it went.
