What a great start to our new Horse Club. As an introduction to horses we looked at the different types of horse events. Using clips from YouTube we looked at dressage, show jumping, eventing, racing, rodeo and carriage driving. The club's favourite seemed to be dressage, because "we like it when the horse dances to the music".
We then went on to look at the different breeds of horse and the points of the horse. 'Points' is horsey talk for parts of the body. We used a great web site to test our knowledge of the points "Darley Kids". This website is packed with facts and games and is based around the world of racing.
